About me👧

I am Sangay Dema and I come from Tongzhang under Trashiyangtse Dzongkhag. Currently perusing a Bachelors of Degree in Education (B.Ed. Pry Dzo) at Paro College of Education with the aim of become a good teacher in the future. Growing up, my parents instilled in me the values of love, caring, and most importantly how to be patience. 

During my leisure time, i enjoy reading and writing, as these helps me to explore new ideas,  expand my knowledge and creativity. Sometimes i like to spent my time engaging in outdoor games which helps me to stay active and alive. Not only that it also teaches me how to work in team and resilience. 

I consider myself as  patient and calm individual as i can handle the things very calmly. I believe that being patience is most important as a future teacher, as it allows me to understand students with empathy and calmness. Moreover, it helps me to create a safe and supportive classroom environment. Through this i hope to become a teacher who inspires curiosity and natures the potential of every child despite of different backgrounds.  

ICT as Co-Constructive Tools

 

Co-constructive meaning "Co" together, "constructive" building, developing and bridging something into existence. It involves google classroom, google slides , google excel, and google sheets. In the field of education co- constructive tools will promotes and enhances the students learning and performances. One of the most significant co- constructive aspects of google classroom lies in its ability to facilitates active learning and knowledge construction.

Features like collaborative documents (Google Doc), shared presentations (Google Slides), and interactive quizzes moves student form learning passive to active learning. Instead of student working alone and they can work together to share the understanding of concept in Google Doc, each contributing insights and perspective. They can collaboratively create presentations synthesizing information and structuring their knowledge in a visual format. In Google Doc, all the students can participate equally when working together at the same time being at different sites, sharing their opinion, asking questions, constructing knowledge and commenting on each others work. 

Integration of Co-constructive tools in the classroom.

Using Google Doc, student can construct knowledge through collaboration and discussions. Students or other educators can use its real-time collaboration features, such as simultaneous editing ,and commenting, to facilitate shared knowledge creation and peer feedback.
For example as shown in figure below students can work actively and collaboratively in group. looking towards the future, the integration of more advanced features within platforms co-constructive holds even greater constructive potential. 

Imagine AI powered tools that can analyze student work and provide personalized recommendations for further learning, helping them build deeper understanding in areas where they struggle. The incorporation of more sophisticated collaboratives tools and project based learning to construct complex solutions and develop critical 21st century skills.

Therefore the co-constructive tools are most effective and important tools for all educators and student so that can enhance learning and delivering information which we or I will use in our future teaching time.

ICT as a communicative tool

concepts of communicative tool.

communicative tools refers to any digital platforms, software, or device designed to facilitate the transmission and exchange of information and ideas between teachers and students. A communication tool is considered as two - way communication or bidirectional communication system because it is designed to allow participants to be both teacher (sender) and students (receiver)  of an information. the role of both teacher and students are interchangeable like email, instant messaging, or video conferencing (zoom meeting) which allows all parties to actively participate. once someone receives a message, they can immediately switch role to become sender by replying, commenting, or transmitting their own information.

Reflecting on why integrating communicative tool in classroom.

Integrating communicative tools into the classroom serves a variety of important purposes, largely focusing on enhancing the learning experiences, improving communication, and developing essential skills for students and educators. It enhances the effective teaching and learning, motivates learners to learn with available resources being shared in the forum and in any other sites, promotes interactive learning and caters to their own learning pace and space.  Moreover,

• supporting accessibility and inclusion.

How can we integrate communicative tools in classroom?

In doing ICT as a communicative tool in classroom teaching and learning involves equipping teacher and student with the skills to effectively use various digital technologies for communication, collaboration and information sharing of any topic and in anytime.  After learning about communicative tool I have created google classroom for class VI A, taking the role of teacher. I have given outlines of what we are going to learn. I also design the plan for each chapter consist of reading materials, PowerPoint presentation,

videos, assignments and quiz. So, google classroom is a free platforms accessible from any device and provides tools for feedback, assessment, and personalized learning experiences.  Google classroom streamlines education by centralizing materials and assignments, improving communication, and offering a paperless system that save time. For students, google classroom plays a vital role like students can access materials and submit their assignments or work anytime, anywhere, from any device. It also engage with teachers and peers through private comments and messaging.

So as a future educator i can use the ICT tools for communication in terms of teaching and learning facilitating spaces for different ideas, sharing information and promoting effective learning.

ICT as Informative tool

Informative tools are the digital tools that helps to collect, exchange and getting of new ideas, knowledge and information. It also access, manage and present information in various forms like text, images, graphic, audio and video. It involves internet, various digital platforms and software application designed to enhance learning and knowledge sharing. I understand that ICT  as informative tools are the any tools and the things that gives information, exchanging the ideas and the knowledge of individuals. Informative tools can be in the form of text, image, audio, graphics, videos and animations. It involves internet, various digital platforms and software application designed to enhance learning and knowledge sharing. 

For example, ICT tools like internet provides unprecedent access to vast information to very fast speed. Usually, we take lots of time to get a particular information from a library, flipping pages by pages for particular information. Now with the few taps on the screen using internet we can get any kind of information in no time, makes learning accessible and possible on our fingertips. Further more using an informative tool promotes adaptive and personalize learning. instead of one-size-fit all approach, ICT tailor presentation of information, offer customized exercise provide real time feedback and optimize learning experience for each individual.

why do we integrate in class?

Having learned about informative tools, as a teacher we are going to use different types of informative tools to teach through images, videos to engage and active participation. 

Effective integrating means the tools are used purposefully to enhance learning, not just occupying time. Students can understand more through looking at images and video rather than just listening to teachers lecture. so teacher can use images with names as shown in picture. with this student can by their own. It also helps to retained when it is present in two distinct forms (visual and verbal). 

One interesting thing about this informative tools is integration of PHET simulation. Instead of reading about the circuit they can use PHET simulation virtually experimenting the circuit construction promotes the understanding about it.

For example, as  shown in figure aside on the circuit construction, experimenting in PHET simulation student will know how to construct the circuit and get aware of the mistakes in constructing the circuit as shown in figure below having fire out from the wire indicating that something is wrong or have done mistake. sp, this technology have a potential to give hands on experiences transforming passive recipient to active recipient of the lesson.

Therefore as a  in the future,  I can use those informative tools for my teaching and learning in my future career. Using this will be very helpful for teacher to deliver information and assist learning to student so that student can also learn more and experience better.
